The venue

The last thing you want to do is take a one-hour taxi ride from the airport to the hotel or show venue. At BioSquare 2010 you won’t have to. The event is being held in an exceptional hotel — the recently renovated Crowne Plaza — that sits across the street from Geneva International Airport. Furthermore, for those not staying at the venue itself, we have selected hotels that are less than a five-minute drive.

The venue, as you will discover, has exceptional facilities that are both efficient and beautiful. The restaurant is uniquely decorated and the chef is exceptional. For those staying at the Crowne Plaza, there is an outstanding fitness centre and spa; rated as one of the best in Geneva.

As for the one-to-one spaces, you won’t believe what we have planned. The experience will be memorable for comfort rather than claustrophobia. The new one-to-one lounges will be situated in an incredible glass-ceiling hall known as the Zermatt room — a room befitting the Matterhorn for which Zermatt is famous.

Right next to Geneva’s Exhibition and Congress Center, the Crowne Plaza Geneva clientele, whether on business or pleasure, feels welcome in a setting which is both modern and friendly.

By air

Geneva International Airport proposes a network of a hundred or so destinations spread right across the globe.

A great advantage is the airport’s proximity to the city centre: 5 km (3 miles). A direct rail connection links the airport to the downtown railway station in 7 minutes.

Geneva’s international airport is only 3 minutes away from the hotel.

By Swiss national railroad SBB

City and airport of Geneva are joined by rail with more than 200 trains a day. Many international routes pass through Geneva to provide convenient connections across Europe.

The Swiss National Railroad stop is only 3 minutes away from the hotel.

By road

• Coming from Paris: Take A6 in the direction of Evry, Lyon and then Geneva. Take the A40 and then A1 in the direction of Geneva.
• Coming from Lyon: Take A42 going towards Paris, then Geneva.
• Continue along the A40, then A1, still following directions for Geneva.
• Coming from Bern: Take A1 towards Geneva.

By public transport Unireso

As of January 1st, 2007, all visitors staying at a hotel, in Geneva can benefit from the Geneva Transport Card, with no additional cost.

Fares between airport and city range from about CHF 30.- to CHF 35.- and depend on traffic conditions, time of day and number of passengers. Presently, the fare within Geneva, including airport, is the amount shown on the taximeter.
