BioSquare V2.0
Overview
The new BioSquare presents a fully renewed — more fluid — approach to deal-making and business development; expect an unbeatable environment in which to find the right people and properties.
Quite simply, the new BioSquare is a highly compressed two-day event that redefines the way companies seek, meet and deal. BioSquare has re-invented the partnering event paradigm by placing those with the offer at the heart of the process.

Partnering events exist. Directory websites exist. Financial summits exist. Biotech, medtech and nanotech meetings exist. Now we need an event that accelerates partnering for those with an imminent need to make a deal — at BioSquare sightseeing takes a back seat. Let’s discover what takes the front seat:
Pharmaceuticals, biotechs, medtechs, nanotechs and in silico firms have the same financial and partnering needs. BioSquare is the place where all life sciences actors come to partner.
You are busy. You therefore need a tightly packed, no-nonsense event. That is exactly what you will get at BioSquare with its 34 packed hours (we even have overnight activities planned for night owls with jet lag).
A business event serves those who seek, those who come to events in search of opportunity, hence the need to deliver those opportunities. The new BioSquare makes finding them a priority. Its scouts, a minimum of one per continent, pro-actively seek talent year-round. They are looking for the ripest bio-prospects in China, India, Israel, Argentina and other specific regions where there is ‘action’.
BioSquare goes beyond the ambition of bringing together the ‘right’ people, it makes them — the biotechs, medtechs, nanotechs and in silico — the hub of the process. Financiers want to fund them, pharmaceutical companies want to partner or deal with them, media want to find out more about them and their work, hence the evident choice: put them at the core of the process. As you will discover, the event, the timetable and even the floor plan, makes it easier to find, meet and deal with them.
Some cities are clearly suited to a specific purpose. Vienna is the home of the Waltz. Milan is the capital of elegance. Dubai displays grandiose architecture. Geneva nurtures biotechs and it is the un-challenged centre of finance. It makes sense to hold BioSquare 2010 in Geneva. It has the right environment and attracts committed capital from all corners of the planet. Its ongoing influence is undeniable.
Credible renewal requires credible partners; BioSquare has gone beyond the traditional ones. BioSquare has spiced up its management team, solicited the advice of an innovative consulting group, garnered the support of a renowned biotech association and has the full support of government authorities. You’re in good hands.
BioSquare is reinventing the use of space. One to one boxes have been rethought and supplemented. A new, more comfortable but also more business-oriented concept is being rolled out. At BioSquare 2010 you will actually look forward to the presentation and negotiation process rather than looking forward to stepping out for some fresh air. We couldn’t invite you to Geneva and then lock you in a two by two meter closet. Another thing that will be absent at BioSquare: tradeshow space. There was a choice to be made, produce a booth-filled tradeshow or produce a deal-oriented experience. We chose the latter. There will be limited exhibition space, reserved exclusively for our privileged partners. The rest of the space is being maximised for our new meeting concept.
